Justin Timberlake’s next album selling more records than

Rihanna’s? If you yelled “OH MY GOD YES!”, today might be the most amazing day of your life. If gambling like a normal person is more your style, throw on your snuggy and hit up some blackjack at an online casino.

Seems the crazy kids over at BetUS have decided that betting on record sales is the future of internet gambling, and why wouldn’t it be with musicians like Kanye West and Fiddy gambling their whole careers on outselling other artists.

At this stage, the betting closes on the 31st of October and the official result will be sourced from billboard.com, but expect the market to remain open until both artists actually release their albums. As far as we can tell, Timberlake has yet to enter the studio, so your money might be on the sidelines for a while.

Current betting has Timberlake the overwhelming favorite at -150 and Rhianna the dog (note the context people) at +110.

Yes! Is there anything stupider than the the MTV Movie Awards? Not that I can think of. Actually, betting on the MTV Movie Awards may just be stupider.

Those guys at BetUS have decided to take some money on the MTV Movie Awards, and why wouldn’t they, they have nothing better to do now that the NBA Playoffs in full swing! Let’s have a glance at some of the categories!

Take a look at this market. I get that Twilight is popular, but there is no way Stewart put on a better show than Winslet. OH THATS RIGHT, it’s MTV. It’s basically the bizzarro awards show where the worst wins! Next;

The Scripps Spelling Bee?

Yes! Who was the winner of the Scripps National Spelling Bee last year? Quickly! It’s okay, I didn’t know either. Apparently a young chap by the name of Sameer Mishra was king nerd last year, spelling “guerdon” correctly to take down the title. I’d love to know what he spent his $30,000 prize money on. I’m willing to bet it wasn’t season tickets to the Redskins.

Spelling Grandmaster Mishra was the focus of cable news networks, not so much for winning but for his awkward, geeky reaction to the word “numbnut”.

I know nothing about this years contestants and I’m not about to start researching now, but my obsession with betting in stupid and crazy events means I can’t resist having a flutter on this one. Luckily the nerds over at BetUS share my passion and have quite a few options available. They get off to a good start with Gender of Winner where Male is the favorite selection at 13/17 ($1.76). Wanna bet that the winner will be wearing glasses? BetUS will give you 6/5 ($2.20) if they do.

The problem with nerds is that they often delight in taking thinks way too far, if you don’t know what I mean check out the line at the cinema at midnight on opening night of the next Star Trek film. The Mensa members at BetUS are no different and have set prices on Will a parent yell at a Moderator? and Will a contestant vomit during the Spelling Bee? (which pays a 4/1).
